Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for parking and getting into the studio. If you arrive late your session will last only to the end of your time block. Have everyone ready when you arrive.

And if you wish- a donation to Jessie’s Closet of NEW diapers, underwear or socks in any child sizes. Jessie’s Closet is a place where foster families are able to access basic clothing and emergency needs for children in their care.
Styling
For a classic look- avoid graphics, logos, words, and neon clothing. Solid colors or simple prints are best, and choose a color that you love with their hair and skin-tone.
For a fun or modern look- choose pajamas or cutesy holiday wear. Accessories are great and add to the fun!
Style hair however you like. Feel free to be creative but simplicity is lovely as well.
Important: Check your child’s face for “crusties” :) Every kiddo (especially our younger ones) tends to have something around their eyes, nose, or mouth. A quick wash in the sink or with a baby wipe will do the trick.
Bonus tip: If you’d like to print holiday cards or display the photos in your home, keep in mind accent colors that you may want to compliment. Consider the colors and style in the space where the photos will live and base your styling around that. This is completely optional of course!
Session
Let your kiddos know that Mr. and Mrs. Claus are excited to see them! A few days before your session, begin talking about the magical event to get them excited! Show them the photos on this page so they know what to expect. Take some time to read some Santa stories together and write their wish list to hand deliver to the big guy in red. Santa and Mrs. Claus love to receive wish lists and answer questions. You’ll visit for ten minutes while I capture the interaction with photos. At the end, each child will receive a special gift from Santas bag!
It’s perfectly natural to feel nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera. We’ll all be chatting, making jokes, and I’ll encourage the occasional deep breath or head/body shake to relax everyone if needed. Please don't stress over the behavior of your children. I'm a mom of three and have been photographing families for years so there's not a behavior that I haven't seen expressed.
If you have a shy little one don’t stress about them not cooperating. Santa and Mrs. Claus have centuries of experience and are sweet, gentle, and kind. They will respect your child’s space and we have lots of techniques to capture great photos. If a child becomes upset, Mr. and Mrs. Claus may step out for a few minutes while I capture a few photos.
Be sure the kids are well rested and have a full tummy. With younger kids it's nice to have a treat on hand (we're not above bribing) and with older kids a treat after the session is a great way to encourage cooperation.
After the session
A preview gallery of hand-edited digital images will be emailed to you within 10 days of your session. From this online gallery you may download the digital image included with your session fee. You’ll also have the option of purchasing additional digital photos, prints, canvases, and more from your preview gallery.
I sell high resolution digital images because it’s important to me that you have the archival quality images to keep forever, and print from whenever you’d like. Digital photos will be emailed to you for download with print release. Prints and products will be shipped to the studio and available for pickup. Preview galleries will be open for seven days with a fee of $25 to re-open. Sales tax will be added to all prices at checkout.

No more than six people total for a session. ONE FAMILY PER SPOT. For more than six family members or more than one family, book two spots. For group shots with cousins, friends, etc., book back-to-back spots (one spot per family) and group photos will be included with each family’s gallery.
“Photoshopping” or any digital manipulation of the images will not be done.
Our backdrop/set changes slightly every year and may not look exactly like the photos featured.
Fee is non-refundable but is transferrable. Reshoots or refunds will not be given for child/children temperament, facial expressions, client wardrobe, hair, makeup and appearance.
Due to the timing of the sessions, session blocks are firm. IF YOU ARRIVE LATE YOUR SESSION WILL ONLY LAST UNTIL THE END OF YOUR BLOCK.
