Fine Art School Portraits with Vanessa Brack are natural photographs that will become treasured keepsakes. We offer a boutique experience and authentic, soulful photos that capture your child's youth exactly as it is at that moment. Smiles may come naturally but we’ll also chat, joke, and play with the children to get real expressions. The experience is fun and light for the children, and online ordering makes the process easy for parents and schools.
Siblings are welcome! Bring siblings along for single and group portraits, at 8:30am on both Picture Days (see dates/times below).
Please make sure the school has your correct email address as communication and preview gallery are delivered via email.
No pre-payments, orders are made through the online preview gallery after picture day.

Dates: Wednesday, November 8th & Thursday, November 9th
Wednesday 11/8:
8:30am- Siblings
9am- Both 3 Day classes, 5 day class
Thursday 11/9:
8am- Kinder Class
8:30am- Siblings
9am- Both 2 Day Classes
ORDERING DETAILS
Within two weeks of your child’s picture day, you’ll be emailed the link to the school proofing gallery. Each student, sibling, and sibling group will have their own album. There will be 2 or more “poses” in each album, in both color and black and white, for a total of 4 or more images. The ordering process is simple and secure. All orders are made from the preview gallery which is live for fourteen (14) days. The first seven (7) days includes the option of free shipping. The next seven (7) days you’ll pay for shipping.
Once orders have been placed, your free shipping orders of prints and products will be delivered to your school within three weeks, barring any shipping delays. Digital photos will be emailed directly to you with print release. For paid shipping, your order will arrive within two weeks.
STYLING
Parents, nearly anything goes for our Fine Art Portraits! Choose a style that works best for your child and family.
For classic portraits- avoid graphics, logos, words, and neon clothing. Solid colors or simple prints are best, and choose a color that you love with your child’s hair and skin-tone.
For personality portraits- choose clothes that represent your kiddo just as they are right now. Costumes, fancy dresses, giant hair-bows, sport-themed clothing, it’s all fantastic. Accessories are great and add to the fun!
We recommend avoiding clothing that matches the backdrop to prevent your child from blending into the background. Poses will include full-body and close-ups.
Style hair however you like. Feel free to be creative but simplicity is lovely as well.
Bonus tip: If you’d like to display your photos in your home, keep in mind accent colors that you may want to compliment. Consider the colors and style in the space where the photos will live and base your styling around that. This is completely optional of course!
Important: Check your child’s face for “crusties” before sending them to school :) Every kiddo (especially our younger ones) tends to have something around their eyes, nose, or mouth. A quick wash in the sink or with a baby wipe will do the trick.
Please note:
Retakes will not be offered for child’s wardrobe, hair, appearance, or temperament.
A prepaid make-up/retake day will be offered later in the semester in our local studio. You’ll receive an email to secure your spot.
We don’t photograph crying kiddos. If a child is upset we’ll have a teacher or parent remove and comfort them, and we’ll try to photograph them again if time permits. This applies to siblings as well.
